This is a day when we especially care for the planet! It originated from senator, Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin. He was very concerned about the damage humans were doing to the Earth. Therefore, he decided to make up a national holiday called Earth Day! He created this holiday on April 22, 1970. That is the same day, not year, that we celebrate Earth Day! Different people do different things to do on Earth Day. Some people might look at a globe, and some things we are doing are:
- Planting a tree or two.
- Taking out the trash in our nearby forest. (Like we did in the past.)
- Maybe building a chicken coop for our chicks and building a tree house or a new hut next to the old one that surprisingly wasn't demolished during Hurricane Sandy. (I bet you never knew that, eh? Me and Kevin used to go out there and have some fun!)
Note: My grandparents are coming over! My grandfather is a really good builder! he built a fence for our mini garden, and he built our old hut! He is amazing!
That's is not all YOU can do though, because here are some more things!

Such as:
- Closing the lights
- Closing the sink/shower head
- Reuse plastic and other recycled things to make new objects
- Don't use the hose often when washing something
- Ride a bike instead of a car
- Use the dishwasher when it is full of dirty plates
- Don't flush smoke butts
That's all folks, so BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Arca's note: I did break the school record, so take that, Xiang! Mr. D said it himself.
